GT Foundation was founded in the year 2004 with the avowed purpose of ameliorating the lives of the downtrodden and the under privileged people in the society.
It has been conducting philanthropic activities in and around Mangalore either individually or in association with the Rotary Club of Mangalore.
It has a rich record of building orphanages, schools, computer training facility and participating in a wide variety of
social entrepreneurship and awareness projects. It has been reaching thousands of children, the poor and the aged stricken by hunger and neglect.
GT Foundation has been striving to fulfill its moral and social obligations towards the under privileged.
It has been focusing on improving the living standards of the poor and kindling rays of hope in every deprived young and old person.
It has been providing opportunities for education to children from the poor, backward and rural classes.
It has been regularly attending to the needs of the orphans, the residents of various old age homes and the destitute by providing food,
shelter and other services in kind.
Class room to Navachethana High School
A donation of Rs.1.50 lakhs was handed over to Rotary Club Of Mangalore towards meeting the total cost of a class room to Navachethana High School,
Neermarga, Mangalore, at the function- Tejodiya 2011.
A Computer Lab is being set up at a cost of Rs.1.00 lakh at Roman and Catherine Lobo School for the Blind, Kotekani, Mangalore.
Association with NRTC
We have had the proud privilege of having associated with National Resource and Training Centre for Children with Vision Impairment and Multiple Disabilities including deaf-blindness, Mumbai (Supported by the Perkins International School for the Blind and the National Association for the Blind) in arranging an inter-action with; and further, training like-minded heads of institutions in and around Mangalore. Training materials were arranged for children, parents and trainers handling persons with multiple disabilities.
Web Designing for Dummies Drama
The Foundation has, through Glow Touch Technologies Private Limited, designed and is maintaining, www.dummiesdrama.com, entirely free of cost. The dummies dramas is not just a troupe but a movement of people who breathe theatres and where passion drives every member of the group with the sole mission of restoring dramas to its golden era.
Blood Donation Camp organized by Diya Systems / GlowTouch Technologies (Wednesday, March 31, 2010)
Under the aegis of GT Foundation, blood donation camps have been conducted on March 31, 2010 and April 5, 2010
at the campus of Glow Touch Technologies Private Limited,
Mangalore where the employees donated blood. Fr. Muller Medical College Hospital was associated with both the blood donation camps.
Visit to the Home for the Aged, (Little sisters of poor, Bajjodi) (Sunday, December 27, 2009)
Dhotis, Kurtas, Pants, Shirts and Sarees were distributed among the inmates of Home for the Aged, Bajjodi. Free lunch was served to the residents of
Navachethana Orphanage on Christmas 2009.
The Little Sisters of the Poor were provided space at the campus of Glow Touch Technologies Private Limited to arrange a display cum sale of handicrafts
made by the residents of the said home for aged. The employees of Glow Touch showed their keen interest in the exhibition and purchased many items on display.
Contribution towards Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund & Red Cross Society of India
A cheque for Rs. 1, 40,301/- was handed over in aid of the flood affected in the northern districts of Karnataka.
The staff of Glow Touch Technologies Private Limited handed over to the Red Cross Society of India
clothes to be distributed to the flood affected.
Food for the orphanage children
Serving of food has been arranged by the Foundation to various orphanages on an on-going basis to show that we care.
Donation of classrooms to Schools
Two class rooms have been built for Navachethana School for better accommodation to students at a cost of Rs.4.50 lakhs. Rs.2.00 lakhs have been donated to St. Sebastian Primary School for setting up class rooms. Bala Samrakshna Kendra, Kuthar has been enabled to build an Assembly Hall with a donation of Rs.1.00 lakh.
Scholarship/Donation for Rural School Children of Palaiyur, Tamil Nadu
A sum of Rs 1.60 lakhs has been donated to the Palaiyur School in Tamil Nadu towards construction of two classrooms and a school play ground.
School books, dictionaries and library books worth over Rs. 10,000/- have been handed over to the said school on the occasion.
